Adding some social proof is more important these days than ever before. I'm not saying its as important as having a website but it's a great addition with many benefits. Some of the major benefits are a boost in your sites authority, which leads to improved rankings (for free) on your main website. The social sites themselves have the opportunity to drive their own traffic, especially youtube even within google searches. Start with Facebook and YouTube. There will be more coming but these ones can have the largest impact for your time. Make sure to fill out all your profiles and link to your main sites.
